We are seeking an experienced and capable Operations & Projects Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role, focused on the delivery of high-value B2B projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring operational excellence throughout. You will oversee a small internal team, while also playing a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities and enabling the design and survey team to support the wider project pipeline.

You’ll bring a solid background in construction or contracting, with the ability to manage multiple projects, drive operational efficiency, and lead internal coordination. Solar experience is not essential — full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary contact for B2B client relations, ensuring all interactions represent SunWorks’ professionalism and expertise.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of B2B and commercial solar and roofing projects, from initial enquiry and survey to installation and client handover.
- Provide oversight and leadership to a small team of designers and surveyors, who independently manage day-to-day residential and smaller-scale projects.
- Conduct site surveys for commercial projects and liaise with clients and construction professionals to capture accurate project requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of technical quotations, tenders, and proposals tailored to commercial and construction-based contracts.
- Ensure all designs and estimates align with BS7671 and IET codes of practice for solar PV installations.
- Act as a key link between design, contracts, and installation teams, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication.
- Lead regular project briefings to align the installation team with upcoming works and delivery requirements.
- Follow up on commercial project quotes and leads to maximise conversion opportunities and identify new business.
- Continuously refine internal processes and workflows to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- High level communication and organisational skills to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
- Leadership abilities/potential to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Proven experience in contracts management within the construction industry, preferably with a background in M&E trades.
- Knowledge of BS7671 standards for electrical design (solar-specific training will be provided).
- Proficiency in IT systems and workflow management tools.
- Relevant qualifications in construction or electrical trades (advantageous but not essential).
- CAD experience (advantageous but not essential).
