At SunWorks, we believe that building a more sustainable future starts with education. That’s why we were delighted to partner with local schools to deliver an engaging learning experience focused on solar energy and environmental responsibility.

A little while ago, students at St Saviour Primary School and St Lawrence Primary School took part in a special programme designed to introduce them to the power of renewable energy. Through interactive lessons, students explored how solar energy works, why it matters, and how small changes can have a big impact on the environment.

To bring their new knowledge to life, students were invited to take part in a creative competition: designing their very own “dream home” featuring solar and sustainable elements. The results were nothing short of inspiring. From rooftop solar panels and energy-efficient layouts to imaginative eco-friendly features, the students showcased not only their creativity but a genuine understanding of sustainability.

After much deliberation, one overall winner and three runners-up were selected across the participating schools. Each of these talented students will receive a voucher for a local toy store as a reward for their efforts and innovation.

More importantly, every student who took part walked away with something even more valuable: a deeper awareness of how renewable energy can shape a better future.

This initiative is part of SunWorks’ ongoing commitment to education in the community. By working with schools, we hope to inspire young minds, spark curiosity, and empower the next generation to think sustainably.

We’re incredibly proud of all the students who participated and grateful to the teachers and schools who welcomed us so warmly.
