Our mission is to “enable Jersey’s renewable energy future” and make a lasting impact on our island, and we’re looking for a dynamic Contracts Manager to lead our commercial and construction-based solar PV projects.
This role is suited to an experienced professional from the construction or mechanical/electrical (M&E) sector seeking a bit more from their work life and contribute to a forward-thinking, environmentally conscious organisation. The role sits primarily within the front end of the business on the Design & Sales side, but also serves into the projects team to assist with smooth and efficient delivery of solar PV (with a focus on construction and commercial). SunWorks has abundant opportunities for new projects into 2025 and we are looking for the right dynamic and motivated construction professional to drive solar in Jersey to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary contact for B2B client relations, ensuring all interactions represent SunWorks’ professionalism and expertise.
    • Lead and support the surveying and design team, providing regular guidance and performance management.
    • Conduct site surveys, liaising with clients and construction professionals to ensure accurate solar surveying data
    • Collaborate with the design team on solar design, quotations, tenders, and proposals tailored for commercial and construction-based contracts.
    • Oversee design support for quotes/estimates in line with BS7671 and IET codes of practice for solar PV systems.
    • Act as a vital link between design, contracts, and installation teams, ensuring smooth project delivery.
    • Lead regular project briefings to communicate effectively with installation teams in relation to upcoming projects.
    • Drive growth by following up on quotes and leads to maximise conversions and seeking new business opportunities
    • Focus on refining business processes to enhance service delivery efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • High level communication and organisational skills to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
  • Leadership abilities/potential to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Proven experience in contracts management within the construction industry, preferably with a background in M&E trades.
  • Knowledge of BS7671 standards for electrical design (solar-specific training will be provided).
  • Proficiency in IT systems and workflow management tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction or electrical trades (advantageous but not essential).
  • CAD experience (advantageous but not essential).
