2025 Nominees
Oxygen Therapy Jersey (OTJ) is a local charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of islanders with various medical conditions through affordable, non-invasive hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). This treatment supports healing and relief for conditions like MS, fibromyalgia, long COVID, stroke recovery, and more—covering up to 189 different conditions.
Founded by volunteers and sustained by donations, OTJ has become a vital resource for those seeking complementary care when conventional treatments fall short. Its impact is reflected in personal stories of recovery and resilience across all age groups.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, OTJ expanded its services to meet growing needs, especially for long COVID sufferers. In April and May 2025 alone, the centre welcomed 276 clients—averaging 20 per day (closed Thursdays)—highlighting its essential role in the community.
EYECAN is Jersey’s leading charity supporting individuals living with sight loss. Our mission is to empower people with visual impairments to lead independent, fulfilling lives through tailored services, inclusive activities, and community engagement. We provide practical support, social opportunities, and advocacy to ensure that those with sight loss are fully included in all aspects of island life.
